Introduction My Builder's Log My Flight Log Tips List of Builders Gallery Ideas for Paint Links News

This is an idea that will save much time in installation of main landing gear, plumbing, console installation, etc. Idea belongs to Steve Lorentzen who is my builder assistant. (Steve built the first Legacy, and is an idea person first class!) Build an assembly to fit the firewall engine mount holes, bolt it to the firewall, and stand the craft on it’s nose (OUCH, you need a lot of vertical clearance for this idea, and some may not have it.) Now, you can stand normally and plumb the hydraulics, fuel, install control sticks, console, etc. If you use this idea, remember to place some bags of sand on the firewall backside for stability, and tie the fuselage to a vertical garage structure/pole for safety.
